Banjo Contest Update - We Have Prizes!

After announcing our inaugural online banjo contests, I've had some sponsors contact me about supplying prizes to winners. So I've taken the next step and reached out to a few other sponsors, to see what kind of interest there is in supplying prizes for the drawings. There's a lot of interest! And that's great, because that will encourage participation.

Several sponsors are getting back to me about the specifics of what they'll give as prizes, but for now here's what we have for our first two contests.

• June 2013: Bluegrass (Scruggs-Style) Instrumental - Foggy Mountain Breakdown
  1st prize is a EMB-5 electric banjo from our friends at Gold Tone. 2nd and 3rd place winners will also receive prizes. These are still being determined, but additional prizes currently include a Lakota Leathers strap, myBanjo 3-way key wrench, and 5 sets of strings, a headstock tuner, a Pro Winder and a headstand from D'Addario.
• July 2013: Clawhammer/Old Time Instrumental - Boatman
  1st prize is a banjo (model to be determined) from our friends at Gold Tone. 2nd and 3rd place winners will also receive prizes. These are still being determined, but additional prizes currently include a Lakota Leathers strap, myBanjo 3-way key wrench, and 5 sets of strings, a headstock tuner, a Pro Winder and a headstand from D'Addario.
