Hi my name is Pil, i love all sorts of folk styles on the banjo.
I would like to know if anyone has like a PDF of Peggy Seeger's' 5 string banjo American folk styles, or just some photos of the pages in it. I'd like to peek around in it before getting a physical copy.
Help very much appreciated :)

I have a physical copy. I may be able to scale some pages with my iPhone. I suspect someone will have a PDF for you.

P. S. I just realized that Peggy published several books, including a song book and memoir. My book is very similar to Pete's "How toPlay the Five-String Banjo." It has songs, chords and tunings. No tabs.

Yes, that sounds like the one I'm looking for. If you could do that it would be very helpful for me thanks :).

Are you referring to:

The five-string banjo : American folk styles. The banjo method, with a fine collection of folk songs with guitar chords

I won't be able to scan all 50+ pages.  In fact, I'm going to have to learn the process with my iPhone.  I hope to be able to scan a few representative pages (cover, table of contents, page of tune, page of instructions, etc.).  In the meantime, here are a couple of link that display some pages.

Amazon (cover and 3 pages) - Amazon.com: The Five String Banjo: 9780769271668: Seeger, Peggy: Books

A 2020 discussion on the Hangout.  Scroll down to Janolov's scan of 3 pages. They are upside down, but you can adjust that - Peggy Seeger's style - Discussion Forums - Banjo Hangout

After looking through her book, it may be more of a collector's item than an instruction book.  The instruction about tunings and playing methods is pretty much text-only.  The songs are shown with standard notation, chord names and lyrics.

@dbrooks

Thank you, for finding those few pages, that was very helpfull. If you cant get all pages just priotize those about tge differing techniques themselves, I suppose I know most the stuff about tunings, chords etc, and the songs I could probably also find elsewhere.

Your help with this is very appreciated

Pil, I'm having trouble transferring scans from my phone to my PC via email.  I'll keep at it.

David, ok let me know if you get it working. You could also send a link with google drive or proton drive if the filesize is too big for mail

Pil. I have scanned 7 pages (21-27) from the instructional portion of Peggy Seeger's book.  These pages follow the sections on Songs, Tunings, and Chords.  These are rough scans, and they are very large files.  I've worked a lot with electronic publishing, and I am somewhat embarrassed by these results.  As you will see, all of the instruction in these pages is in text without diagrams, tabs, etc.  These pages may give you an idea about the instructional approach she used.

I will try to post 2 pages in a message.
