I'm 67 yrs. old and been playing the banjo for 6 years. I'm a retired school principal for a variety of special ed programs in Siskiyou County, CA. I'm married with 3 children. One son and twin girls. I play banjo in a once-a-week jam and also play with a fiddle/string band about 5 times a year. For several years I've played back-up guitar for my daughter when she completes in fiddle contests. I've wanted to play the banjo for years and just never got around to it. So on my birthday this year my family gave me a banjo and I've been learning to play it. So far it's going slow but, I'll get there.
