Even though i have had a banjo since early-mid 1980s, have only been an occasional "picker". Took lessons at one point for a couple of months or so, and was probably at my "peak" then. I don't feel that i've ever progressed beyond the beginner, or novice level, since i haven't been that devoted to it. I tend to prefer slower songs since they're easier to play, and my first love in music is Folk and Gospel songs.
