Hi myself, and anyone who might read this:

Well here it is 2016 and still no recording! Where did the last few years go? Life has taken some twists and turns but does not seem to have gotten anywhere much for the last while. The end of a marriage is in process. I have gotten out of an abusive situation. I've started getting mentally and spiritually healthy and I've fallen in love. I've even started writing songs again and have done a solo show with some banjo but mostly guitar. I am hoping life will settle down to a new normal that will include more music.

I am a professional musician, teaching guitar full time and performing when I can. My main instrument is guitar, but I also teach and play electric bass, mandolin and of course 5 string banjo. I also dabble with the fiddle and used to have a mountain dulcimer. I should pick up another one of those. I play around with my ukeleles, tenor and baritone, and have a passing acquaintance with the trumpet and drums. <br><br>I used to perform mostly with my wife and kids. I'm back to doing solo shows now. Life is doing that change thing again.<br><br>Oh, and about that experience level. There should be something in between "novice" and "purty good." How about "played for years, and still trying to find a d minor chord?"
