Learning the Right way

It's a road I'm traveling. The journey began around February 2009. I have endured lots of rain and being soaked to the gills while watching bands perform the elusive dreams. I have felt the pain already of the lack of respect that the banjo player patiently accepts. Another man is not responsible for you perfomance...you are. People say....have fun, that's crap. Once you begin the banjo learning journey, you're not having fun. You have set a goal for yourself and if you are really serious, you will strive to attain that goal no matter what. Oh true, you may have fun along the way but you're main objective is to reach that goal. My playing still sucks but....I've come a long way baby already. I have got those callouses going on, sore muscles in the fingers and yet I trudge on toward that goal. Here it is....wait for it....it's coming.............
