Hey everybody! Just an update on what's been going on lately. My new "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" Instrumental Tribute to Bill Monroe cd on Rural Rhythm has been in the Top 40 Amazon and is available everywhere including Wal Marts, Best Buys, Borders, FYI, as well as my website... www.mikescottmusic.com. The CMA just picked it up and did a story that just came out this past week in the CMA Magazine. I am excited about the upcoming IBMA Awards, as Rural Rhythm is working diligently on the song nomination “Blue Moon Of Kentucky” as “Instrumental Recorded performance Of The Year” as well as my other new project "Take Me Lord & Use Me" the song "Since I Laid My Burdens Down" as "Gospel Recorded Performance Of The Year." They are also working on my nomination for "Banjo Player Of The year".
I was also just contacted this week from Rural Rhythm Christian and our marketing staff in Atlanta, and was excited to know that I just received my first "#1 Single" Since I Laid my Burdens Down" from my "Take Me Lord and Use Me" Gospel project in the Power Source Bluegrass Gospel Charts. I am very gracious of all these things happening now and I do appreciate you're voting for me in these catagories. This project is available at all the same venues including Life Way Christian Bookstores, Baptist Book s and as well as my website.
I am also nominated for "New Gospel Artist" from The Singing News Magazine at The National Quartet Convention. The Awards show will be held in Louisville,KY Sept 14,2011
