My Wildwood has a placard in the resonator that says it was built in Feb '76. The model is listed (in pen) as "Deluxe Bluegrass Banjo". The Serial Number space, listed as "Sl#" is blank and it's signed by Mark.

I've had some of the BEST times of my life with it's 700 Lbs hanging around my neck LOL. *That's what it feels like after about 12 hours of drunkin jamming at a festival :-D

I'm new here and I have to figure out how to post pics.

	Banjo-Ken says: 9/28/2013 8:06:36 AM Thanks. It wasn't a Soloist originally. It had a more traditional but gorgeous neck. I flew from Toronto Canada to San Francisco to buy it. When I was playing it, I noticed it had an extra-skinny neck and had difficulties. My instructor suspected it had been thinned down for a smaller-handed player. I talked with Mark way back when, and asked for a new neck, preferring the sexy Soloist. I mentioned that my instrument was finished with a sort of "orange" lacquer and he said that it must have been refinished. I received the new neck un-finished and had it finished to match the resonator. This was all back in about 1979-1980 and it's been my most prized possession ever since!
