new to linking. That is the dowel on my 11" Dobson. Ebony with silver wire inlay. Most HCD pots look alike. They may have been made for HCD while he concentrated on the necks and dowels.

	David McLaughlin says: 12/4/2011 5:45:20 AM The reason we know so little about HC Dobson banjos is because up until recently nobody had any interest in them. There are a few assumptions about HCD banjos written down by experts, based on hands on examination of several examples.
	David McLaughlin says: 12/4/2011 5:59:53 AM Dr. Jack. You are correct in that most HCD pots (at least from the Silver Bell era) were made by other companies for him. Many but not all are basic Buckbee shells. Yours appears to be Buckbee with the black paint stripped off the wood inner shell area.
