John Lindhorst, owner of Oregon Music Garage in Oregon, Illinois -- the same town where Salstrom built their banjos -- is writing a book and building a museum exhibition documenting the Salstrom company's history. He recently shared scans of original Salstrom promo sheets with us, which we've posted on our blog.

The sheets show the full model lineup with original specs and pricing -- the A7, A8, A8-C, BR4, B5-C, K1, K24, K24-C, T6, T7-C, P8, and P8-C. The B5-C listed at $175 as the top bluegrass model. The BR4 at $245 as the premium resonator. All models came equipped with the adjustable neck tension rod.

John is actively looking for Salstrom banjos for the museum exhibition and for anyone with memories of the company, the craftsmen, or that era of Illinois music history. If you have a Salstrom or information to share, reach out to him directly at oregonmusicgarage@gmail.com.
