I see that Chuck Ogsbury has started a new line of banjo's in CO, called Star Banjo. Does anyone own one yet, and what are your feelings about this banjo? Thanks.

They are called Starr Banjos. Look interesting.
I guess retirement is not all it is cracked up to be?

Thank you for correcting the name. He has such a great reputation. I have several banjos and thought I wouldn't get any more, but you know how banjo fever can infect a person's mind.

Have you confirmed its Chuck, I have a feeling its his son doing these he also owns the Ode trademark
Note I just looked at the web site and they are indeed Chucks work but limited to two hundred pieces.
Whats interesting is they are made in the Gold Hill factory, Gold Hill is an old gold mining town about ten miles or more from Boulder, Chuck bought his Gold Hill home from my family.

I think you will find that it is Chuck's son who is making these banjos.

That was my first thought as well but if you visit the website it cleary states from Chuck that these are his work and limited to 200 and the last banjos he will build and at the same time his son is building Ode banjos in the same Gold Hill factory
