It would be nice if you could block a user from tagging or quoting you.



Another user here got mad at me for a comment I made on a thread nearly a month ago. He made a bunch of nasty comments in the thread about me personally, and then after they were removed for rulebreaking he started emailing me directly. I blocked him through my email account, but now to get through that he's started following/tagging/quoting me all over the website which sends emails to me with his messages, effectively bypassing the block I've put on him.



The ability to block users on banjohangout would prevent this type of harassment. The only way I can see now is to delete my account entirely, which I don't want to do but the spam/harassment is beginning to weigh on me on I don't really see any other way to make it stop.

Possible solution:

- click on the gear next to your name on the account

- then click on the "messaging and notifications" line

- then go to "tag notifications " and select "web only" 

I think this would show the existence of a tag in some kind of account notification bar, but no email or personal message.   So then the "existence " indicator can just be ignored.

All this angst over....banjos. BHO has lost several excellent posters due to this angst, both on the delivering end and the receiving end. Wasn't there some kind of song, "Where Have All the Grownups Gone......?" banjered
