An idea for a forum category would be banjo search for previously owned instruments that may mean more to a previous owner than who has it now.
I can think of a few that wish I could buy back or trade for.
If the owner isn’t interested at this time, contact information could be exchanged if a transfer would be considered later.

I could see interest in your idea. I do miss some of my old banjos. But, if I actually got it back I wonder if my opinion would be different than my memory of it.

I doubt there would be enough interest in that category to make a new forum just for that. We'll see how many people are interested.

When you sell/buy a banjo on BHO, the first step is typically emailing the other party, and that happens through your personal email account rather than the BHO account. If you search your old emails, you will find the contact information for all your previous deals. Then you can email the other party directly, without needing to find them within BHO.

We have three forum categories, the want ads in the marketplace and private messaging.
1) Collector's Corner - Discuss the history, collecting, identifying, etc of vintage and collectible banjos.
2) Swap Shop: Buy, Sell, Trade - For the discussion of Classifieds ad listings.
3) Shopping Advice - Looking to buy or sell a banjo or something banjo related?

What Sherry said. This is a category unlikely to draw users.

Looking for my
Tradesman SN T135
I sold it to a gentleman in England if I remember correctly.
I have one or two more sales that have generated significant seller’s remorse.
I also have experienced not buying remorse.
Shall I go on?

I think in a guitar forum, there's a "tell us about your rig(s)."
One can also list your rigs to great detail in your bio.
I don't list mine for fear of misrepresentation.![]()

During some rough times, had to sell some with sentimental ties. The one I really hoped to track down, the fellow I sold it to could not help me with who he sold it to.
Water under the bridge!
I am thankful that we have the Hangout for all knowledge that is shared
