I'm looking at a long neck WL-250. I want another banjo. I will keep my #1 in Double C. I'm looking at the versatility of a long neck for the second banjo that will allow me to easily play in standard G and get to E quickly, etc. I play a lot of blues guitar and the idea of being able to easily claw some blues in E is interesting.
Are these Gold Tones a good banjo? The WL-250 long neck have a good reputation?

I used to have one that I really liked, though in the last year or so that I owned it it became very difficult to get and keep in tune.
I would like to replace it one day, but I don't think Goldtone makes them any more and they're difficult to come by.

I have the OB-250 longneck with the flathead tone ring. I now have my own rim and tone ring in there.
I would prefer the Gold Tone Tubaphone with a longneck. I like the tone better.
I have used several Gold Tone kit longnecks, they are very well made, Maple Voice, I have never had a problem with mine or others that I built.
