How about a forum on amplification. It could cover everything from amps, pick-ups, pedals, PA systems, Mics, sound checks when playing out, and electric banjos. What works and what doesn't. What happens if the sound guy doesn't get it and other playing out "horror" stories and how to avoid them. If it has a current running through it, here's where we talk about it. I know a lot of these topics may have been posted on other forums, but this would put them on one mixing board. Disclaimer, two of my acoustics are running pick-ups, and I have a Nechville Comet with two EMG active single coil pickups and efx pedals and a number of amps.

I concur. Equipment is getting tinier and cheaper, supercedure takes place almost daily.
I just bought the best little PA, an obsolete, indestructible Peavy with 150 Watts per channel with speaker stands and chords for $300.
Much expertise is resident here, let's utilize.

Yes Lynn I have and I'm thinking oa Forum refresh with a new name that would include gear discussions and A&R (artists and repertoire). That is who's playing what, with what, and thru what. There are other technique driven sites such as Clawhammer and of course the other one with picks but I can tell you what I play on my solid body 5-string is not what I play on my acoustics. Amplified can bring a number of topics under one forum roof. Let's talk some more.
