Hi Guys

How do you change the value from 1/4 to 1 &1/4 also change the direction of the arrow without having to add a guiding note?

Have you tried the Bend (B) and Bend and Release (Rb)?

A simple bend is created by first entering two notes on the same string. The first note is the initial pitch and the second note the pitch to be achieved by the bend. Highlight the first note and apply the bend effect. A small curved arrow appears to the right of the number on the tab line. The small number at the tip of the arrow indicates the number of whole tones of the bend. 

The release or bend-release effect is created in the same manner as the simple bend and is indicated in the tab as a double, curved arrow. Again the small number represents the number of tones of the bend-release.

Thank you

I know how to insert bends in the manner you describe. I am trying to replicate tab that doesn't show that second note on the same string as you suggest, hence the reason for the query.

According to the Tabledit Manual (see Ken's post) the choke applies a rapid 1/4 tone bend to the highlighted note. The Choke pitch bend can be adjusted with [>] or [<].

Jan is correct.
Hold down shift and tap the carrot < > keys to cycle through 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, etc.
