"Sorry, Sarge, but the old hippies at the Daily Quiz hint that it's physically impossible for me to look any higher!"

A pig is as independent as a hog on ice. ![]()
Who really knows for sure what they are actually looking at?
I believe if pigs wanted to do some sky gazing they'd figure out a way of doing it.

If Cunningham can see an apple held high over his head, then he can see the sky. And he sure can see that apple.

Some say they can some say they can't. I don't know for sure haven't been around pigs that much. But is it important for them to look up? Maybe, it might keep them from being shoot at from a tree stand. Mmmm young wild pig on the grill.

As far as lifting their chin up, not so much, but their eyes have a wide fied of view and are located on the side/ top portion of their head, they can see up and have very good eyesight as well as smell senses

It is physically impossible for pigs to look up in the sky – they can't roll down to see the sky, but not in the standing position. Although their anatomy of the neck muscles won’t let them look totally upwards. The only way left to see the sky (or only its reflection) is to look in the mud.
