Dumb question but is there a way to slow down the Tabledit program when it plays the tab for you? If it makes a difference, I currently have the free version (I think there is both a free and paid version).  I moved through the menu options, but unless I overlooked it, I didn't see anything for slowing it down.  I'm trying to slow "I'll Fly Away" down to my level to study it. 8-)

And while I'm in the tab forum I may as well ask a bizarre question--do you ever get the inexplicable urge to play TV theme songs on your banjo?  Even though I'm sure it was never meant to be played on the banjo, I'd like to learn how to tab out the Hawaii Five-0 theme.  But that's going to take a long time before I get there. 8-)

follow this, at the top of Tabledit click midi > midi options > Tempo
You will see a number like 150 or whatever, you increase or decrease the Tempo then click ok

You can save the file if you like with the New Tempo you selected or don't save it, it will default back to the original setting.

Click on the speaker upper left and there you are. Just set tempo up or down however you like click ok and your set.

Now according to what I have learned by watching "The Big Bang Theory" on TV while practicing the banjo at the same time, as you approach the speed of light, time slows down. Now I would think if this method somehow can be perfected, it would eliminate the need of having to click on the aforementioned button to slow the song down. We could just utilize the laws of physics to do the work for us.

Am I watching too much TV?

On the menu - MIDI - then click relative speed. At least that is on the paid version.

ROTFL!!!!!  The chances of my playing at the speed of light are not very good.  I better stick to tweaking the software. 8-)

Now in the Windows version, you can simply hit - or + to vary the relative speed.
