Seeing it up close it looks like someone removed a third middle foot.
Anyone know what it might be?

It may be missing a middle supportleg.
If it was meant for nylon strings it's probably all there.
4 or 5 notches,Christian?

Looks like a generic bridge with the middle foot lopped off as you say, I use 2 footed bridges quite a bit, I like the sound I get for older style banjo playing, particularly 2 and 3 finger style picking. I use one on my RB250 set up with a skin head...although the 2 footers I "make" are thicker and not as thin...got the idea from this old Grover bridge that was on my all original 1927 Whyte Laydie #2...
