Anybody know this guy. He plays left-handed and I believe he played with Bill for a short time. Last time I heard from/about him he was living in either New Zealand or Australia. I think he was a teacher also. ![]()

Icaro, so far you're the only person to reply to my question. When was the last time you saw him or heard from him. Do you have an e-mail address for him? You could reply with a private message to me. Thanks. ![]()

Bob is a character, and a very friendly guy, he puts you at ease minutes after you've met him. Nice strong tenor voice, pretty decent mandolin picking. Used to be a good rhythm guitar player way back when (as Icaro said, he played on Bill Monroe's "On radio" LP and he's the typical Monroe-style guitar player, no frills, no prisoners taken). Funny, when we played with him (I guess it was 2009) he and his wife had driven all the way down from Denmark in a wreck of a car, took him forever and a day to get to Italy, and when we met at the hotel for rehearsals he could only play the violin (and mandolin, but Icaro's father Massimo was the mandolin player for the tour) because he had left the key of his guitar's case in Denmark!! Ever tried to open a Mark Leaf case without its key?... We had fun though. But I still hope nobody catches us on YouTube! I must have his email address somewhere, I'll look for it.
