Would you not love to see all the places these two banjos have been...

The Tubaphone with the 10 1/2" pot started out as a Vegaphone tenor I found on Craigs list a couple of years ago. I had Gary Schattl put an "A" scale neck on.

Last weekend I found another Vega (also on Craigs), a Whyte Laydie Style R (11 13/16 head) with a Bart Reiter neck from about 1990, and when I got it home and checked the serial number, it was also made in 1926!

So anyway, here are the big brother and little sister both born in '26 reunited as 5 strings - with Thinline armrests from Little Mountain Music just installed...

You say they are brother and sister...but watch out. they might be "kissin' cousins" If you store them too close together...they might breed a whole bunch of them little Vegas. Your closets could end up crammed full of the varmints. Believe me...I know.
