How do you send a request to be on a friends list? I must be overlooking it.

It's a few lines under their avatar pic. Right under send 'so and so' a message. Click on "Add To Friends List"

Click on "Add To Friends List" on the person's web page under Contacts on the left side of the screen, just above where it says "Playing Since XXXX"
