Check out the neck angle adjuster where the neck meets the pot, looks aluminum or pot metal-ish. Between the flange design & that neck angle adjuster, someone here will know exactly what it is I bet.

The peghead, the neck angle adjuster and the flange all scream "Kay!" That's what it is.

Bill: When do you think this was made. 1950's?
Thumper: I'm still looking for a tenor Belmont like yours with the pearloid fretboard. No luck yet.

Mike Holmes at Mugwumps says that peghead was used by both Stromberg-Voisenet and Kay, so I'd say it's 30s anyway; maybe 20s. Note the similarity to Gibson's Style 6 checkerboard binding from that era. Might well have been refurbished.

Yep, surely Kay or Stromberg-Voisinet. S-V became Kay in about 1942). It appears that the finish scheme was designed by Timothy Leary .

Hey beezaboy--good luck. These really aren`t very high quality instruments, I just lucked out on this one. If you want I can give you some pointers on what I figured out to look for to find a good one.

Allen: Advice would be appreciated but I've not seen a pearloid Belmont tenor, ever...

Yeah, all the tenors I`ve seen didn`t have a pearloid board either.
