I went to Astabula Ohio and filled in with a band(there banjo player got sick) and they put part of the show on youtube. This clip is the best and i just want ya to Really listen to the true power of the Hatfeild No Hole Ring. Trip up there for $400 wouldnt bad. They ant the band i play with at home, but they were good. Traditional mostly. Anyways Listen to that Crowe Crack with that hatfeild Ring, with what little tone i can pull. Arthur, Your Rings Are FRIGGEN AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait for my Hatfeild Banjo!

I must say, despite a few timing issues, I'm impressed! Nice sounding banjo Dave. I've also played that same building and the acoustics are nice.
I know those guys......my latest vid on the tube is Lloyd Blevins (no kin), singing, Little Girl in TN.

Great playing David! You are right, the banjo sound is impressive, but man; you are one heck of a picker.

Sounds good, their is a good indoor bluegrass festival in Hambden Ohio, at the Hambden Grange hall. Good place to jam also. Bring that banjer and pick a few with us all.

I was just filling in for them and i didnt practice with them enough. See the band i play with here in KY, we play mostly new stuff and they have there own song writer guy and whatnot(he pitches songs to LRB,IIIRD tyme out and tommy webb) and the stuff we do, i play 10X better. I usually use alot of sammy shelor licks, terry baucon licks and J.D Licks in my pickin and use a ton of pull offs, but i couldnt with them cuz it was all traditional i tried during one song on there and screwed up. Im gonna have to post a Video of my band i pick with and then you all can Really see me at my best. Ill post some sound clips of the banjo and my other banjos as well(And that 250 if a ever get the con flippin thing back together!).

Bill, I keep telling people:
If it hasn't got ANY holes, it's not a ring. It's a disk.![]()
Still, call it what one will, it'll still most likely SOUND just great, and banjos are n the sound biz, not the wordplay biz.
Good luck with the project.
