Diva

You posted a great comment how different strokes for different folks pertaining to banjo choices available on another thread. This got me to thinking. Oh how true.

Your articles in the BNL are very interesting and educational. The next article you write could educate the beginner how not to be intimidated by the pressures of hype and name recognition. The title could be Different Strokes for Different Folks.

I think this would be a great article for the beginner.

Thanks Prewar. That would be an interesting topic and I'll keep it in mind for a future column. The next one (for June) is already written however. It will be about Earl.

Oh, you mean the same actor who played Dave Seville in the recent Chipmunks movie. He plays banjo? Who knew?...

Y'alls is all wrong. Its the guy Earl who is on that fishing show. The one who always throws them back.

My grandpa pronounced "oil" as "earl". Are you writing a BNL column about the rising global demand for fossil fuels? I can see it now -- now incentives for hybrid banjos.

It has varied. Initially it was supposed to be every month but because of space issues in the magazine we went to every other month. Recently the magazine has run into space issues again so the column is going to run every two months. I'm not sure how long that is going to last. The economy has an impact on advertisers and advertisers determine how long the magazine can be and still be viable, etc. I'll write the columns as frequently as the editors can use them.

I hope the BNL lasts forever. I would imagine in time like all the newspapers around the globe, the internet will take control over paper magazines.

The internet is not so bad. I probably won't take my laptop in the bathroom though
