This tune is a study in arpegiatted (broken chord) "Staccato" picking....you have to 'palm mute' in order to shorten the note duration to sound like the systhesizer in the original tune...it definitely adds to the effect!
The chorus section (part B) of the tune is essentially chord-melody style and runs up as high as the 21st fret where the oxygen is mighty thin!
So, bring your 'oxygen mask', 'palm mute' and take a trip through Hot Butters! "Popcorn"....
As always, Drop me a line and receive arrangement....

I''m gonna have to join "Banjo Players Anonymous" and get offa this thing!
"Them what picks together...sticks together!" (might be original, maybe)
Join the BHO "Banjo Players Union"...You''ll be able to take ''Union'' breaks every 45 minutes... Not to mention the cool BHO T-Shirt you get!
In Memory of my recently late Uncle Elon "Gus" Gustafson (June 26, 1922 - December 13, 2006), who ALWAYS showed up at our gigs!
In memory of my late mother, Rose Marie Arri (July 4th 1938 - October 27th, 2000)...she attended the same Washington University in St. Louis as John Hartford did and was in a similar fine arts program about 10 years prior to John. She was a fashion illustrator and taught me how to draw. She hung the first fiddle I ever saw on the wall at home.
