I have never ever gotten this program to work. I am trying to successfully get it installed on my laptop which runs vista. I am getting a message saying that I didn't properly install the font TB.TTF - can anyone tell me what is wrong here?

Regards,
Casey

Go to your Control Panel and click on help and support. Search on fonts and click on installing new font. I had the same problem and I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but I started there and fumbled about some until I got the font installed. Good luck.

For those of you who are having trouble with Tabrite, email me and I'll make a PDF of the tab for you until you get it working.

Hi Casey,

I went through this a while back. I am doing this from memory but I think you opy the TAB.TF file out of the Tabrite program that you downloaded, and paste it into your Windows/Fonts file.

Check here http://www.banjohangout.org/news_de...ate=3/2/2005

I just bought a new computer and need to do this all again. Give me a few minutes and I will try to do it again.

Any specifics on this Rick - for someone who is a little pc iliterate like myself it leaves me in the dark on exactly how to do it.

Regards,
Casey

Casey,

It took me less than a minute to get it to work. I copied the "tab.truetype font style" that came in the tabwin43 program. I found it and copied it into the C:/Windows/Font file. This little tab file just has to be in the Windows/font folder so the Tabrite program can find it. Don't ask me why it cant find it inside its own program, I suppose this tab file needs to be in with the rest of the fonts. Anyway, give that a try, I think i will work for you just fine like it has for me the last two times I installed TabRite.

It is not setting up right for some reason.

Do what Rick says ~ it works - just takes a few seconds. Thanks!

Another way to get it done, in case you can't just right click, copy, and paste the tab.ttf file into Windows/Font folder. Try this, copy the tab.ttf file onto your desktop, then go find your C:/Windows/Font folder. When you have it found, drag and drop the tab.ttf file from your desktop into it. This little tab file has to be inside the Windows/Font folder so TabRite can find the correct fonts.
