Does anyone have a way to contact Allen Shelton?

James Alan Shelton is not the Allen Shelton Robbif is talking about. James Alan Shelton is the lead guitar player for Ralph Stanley. Allen Shelton is one of the old favorites of the first generation from the golden years.

One of the nicest guys I've ever met. The afternoon before the recording was made, I was at someone's house, sitting on the floor, alone with Allen in a chair. I was firing off requests and he was playing them for me with this big smile...Heaven!

Curtis answered me, pointed me to the area, I looked up the name online, and ended up talking to Allen's son,
who's going to be passing along my information to Allen, all in less than 24 hours.

Allen Shelton's son just confirmed that he's passed on my information to Allen. I'll let everyone know when I hear back.

I've read and heard about the "bounce" that Allen's playing has in it. I can definitely hear it in these recordings, especially on Bluegrass Breakdown.

The first time I heard Allen was on a recording of Wildwood Flower...in the key of F w/o a capo

A couple of days ago, Allen's son contacted me and let me know his Dad was visiting, looking at my 1969 photos and the recordings!
