"Jake" Lester, Father of Emory Lester Passed away last evening after a short illness near his home n Gainesville, Virginia.
"Jake" was an early second Generation Banjo player who performed with Bill Emerson, Eddie Adcock,Charlie Waller and many, Many others.
Bill Emerson said last evening that he played many, many venues with Jake when they were very young.
As you can imagine, Emory and his family are in deep mourning.
Funeral arrangements are pending....
