To my ear this tone ring is as close to a prewar sound as anything i've played when coupled with a old rim. Has that growl on the 4th string everyone seems to want. you can't go wrong here, Give one of Don Bryants skirtless rings a try, i think you will be surprised!!

Don has made a couple banjo necks for me, one for a 1934 style 1 and the other for a style 11. His workmanship is superior, He will make sure you are satisfied or you don't have to take the neck plus he is a great setup man. Ted Nixon- thumpic2003
