Good rich sound,and loud enough for my liking

It was set up, but I changed the action a bit; typeical Gibson 2 Tension bar set up.

I didn't like the tail piece, I replaced it with a Kershner; I also replaced the the Head tuners with 5-Star tuners, the factory ones were of poor quaility. $80 of tuners from Steward McDonald solved the problem; also the bridge was junk, I replaced that with a Stew Mac Grover.

I would recommend it for an intermediate player or for a practice banjo. If it was stolen, I wouldn't be too upset as it is my practice banjo.
