Been playing now for 4 months and had a Beginning Fender banjo. I traded it in for the Morgan Monroe Rocky Top. This is a GREAT beginning banjo! I can't stop playing it. The sound and the action is SO MUCH better than the Fender. It's really a pleasure to play. Hammers and Pull offs are much clearer. Dynamics on the banjo are also much better. You can play soft but it had the ability to be very loud and rich.
