I'm new to the banjo but I really like the sound of this: not as loud as a megaphone or as metallic/tinny as some old types (Framus) I've heard - nice and mellow with good highs and lows. A bright sound with warmth - it ought to get better as I get better at playing it and with use :)

I love the look of this banjo: the natural wood with the rosewood fretboard. 'Elegantly understated' suits me to a 'T' and is what I wanted. :)
Finish is perfect.
I went for planetary tuners and for the price that was an option I found a bit hard to find for other makes in the same range.

I highly recommend this banjo for someone like myself who is just starting out. And buying it on the net (after literally dozens of hours or research), nicely set up and from someone who knows what they're doing was the best way to go for me:
I saved over $300 (!!!!) versus buying it locally here in town. Imagine that!
