My Kel Kroydon KK-3 has the bluegrass sound used by many stage & studio professionals. The head is tuned to G#. I changed to a Grover bridge the same as Earl did for the best bluegrass sound. My banjo sounds terrific.

My new KK-3 banjo cost $1899. You cannot go wrong buying a banjo made by Robin Smith for that price. A real value for your dollar. I like my new banjo so much I ordered a new Kel Kroydon Maple Standard banjo.
