Bight but not too much. It sounds perfect, high highs and good lows.
Sound Rating: 10
I have changed nothing. The banjo came out of the box sounding great. I am extremely happy with the sound and action of this banjo.

I had a special peg head put on the banjo.
It is an open back peg head on a resonator banjo. This is the only one ever made.
They also did a special stain for me, matching the stain I have another banjo.
They made it a top tension adding not only to the looks but to the sound and feel of the banjo.

Everything is still in top condition as I write this (2 years after I got it)
The hardware is top notch.
I have taken this banjo to a number of jams, it certainly holds it own.
Reliability Rating: 10
No repairs have been needed and dealing with them when I ordered it was a pleasure.

They have all of their metal parts made for them. All quality stuff.

I would recommend this banjo for anyone well worth the price paid.
Of all my banjos this is the one I will always keep.
The only thing I would change now that I have tried one is a radiused fret board.

This banjo has it all sound-wise, deep bass, clear highs, lots of volume, and incredible sustain. You can hear each note clearly.

The banjo was set up great. Although I am waiting for a shorter bridge, the banjo is easy to play. It has a comfortable fast neck that makes fretting very easy.

I can't say enough about the looks of this banjo. The gold plating looks substantial. The inlays are perfect the truss rod cover is rippled pearl. No time or expense was spared for this banjo, all hand made with all the best stuff.

The metal hardware is heavy the plating deep. There is nothing cheap about this banjo. I have no worries about this banjo staying together.
Reliability Rating: 10
I have never needed customer service but before the sale I did email and speak to Cliff , and he was always prompt on returning the call or emailing back. It has a lifetime warrenty that I have confidence in.

I would recomend any banjo made by this man. There is nothing like getting a banjo hand made by one guy. Someone who takes pride in his work.
My other banjos are Stellings. This banjo sounds more like a good Gibson. I was looking for something different sound-wise, I found it.
