For three finger picking this is a very nice sounding banjo. It has a lot better sound than the price would lead you to bleve

The banjo only needed the tunning touched up a small amount. It was set up very nice and a pleasure to play. I will change to light gage strings but that is the only change that will be needed.
Setup Rating: 9
This banjo is designed to give good quality it would seem at the expense of inlays and trim. It is a natural color mapel very nice.
I have looked this over very close after a bad experence early this year
and have not found any bad areas.

The tunning pegs seem very good like on more expenseve banjos, the arm rest is nickle plated not chrome and sturdythe tail piece seems to be of average weight. I may change the tail piece to a streight line piece but do not feel that the one that came with the banjo would not last.
Reliability Rating: 8
no problems up to this point
