Replacement Tuner Buttons: Ron Barnes Tuner Buttons

Submitted by Circa-Vintage on 12/12/2016

Where Purchased: Ron Barnes

Overall Comments

Folks here is the deal...if you like wasting time and money on sub-par repro parts, go ahead, but when you are ready to get serious, send Ron a message and have him make you a PROPER set of pre-war reproduction tuner buttons.  They are the best available any time, any place, any where .

Ron made a set of Amber Tulip buttons on Waverlys and I am over the moon satisfied.  It was exactly a week turn around, but I promise I would have waited MUCH longer for the quality of product and service I recieved.

Like I said, when you're ready, do the right thing and contact Ron.  You will be glad you did!

Capos: The Bill Stokes Showcase Capo

Submitted by Circa-Vintage on 6/5/2012

Where Purchased: Bill Stokes Showcase

Overall Comments

I received my capo in the mail today and just wanted to comment on the quality of the product. I have owned several high-end capos and they were all of good quality, but the Showcase is overall the best I have seen. Bill really takes an interest in his customers and that is something that impresses me a lot. If you are in the market for a quality capo, give Bill a call, he will fix you up.
The construction is of solid stainless steel and the fit and finish is perfect. The actual fit of bar and the yoke is a lot better than I've seen in other products. On top of that this capo is a little slimmer then an Elliot which I really like.

Straps: The Bill Stokes Showcase J.D. Crowe Strap

Submitted by Circa-Vintage on 6/5/2012

Where Purchased: Bill Stokes Showcase

Overall Comments

I received my new custom J.D. strap in the mail and it is of perfect construction. This is the 1 inch wide strap, which is not for everyone. This is my second Showcase J.D. strap I have purchased and it definitely won't be my last. Bill put a custom embossing pattern on the strap and it really looks nice and clean. He also created a custom leather attachment piece for the strap to eliminate the Chicago screws which I am not a fan of. Overall,. it is a very nice product at a very nice price and definitely worth a try if you want a narrower banjo strap.
