Although a little softer it has tone on par with the 11" Doc built for me. Sound Rating 10 Setup Popped the bridge up and it was almost in tune out of the box. Perfect setup. Setup Rating 10 Appearance Beautiful, Wenge with an osage orange fingerboard and trim . Really incredible looking. Sound Rating 10 Setup The setup was well setup. Everything in its place Setup Rating 10 Appearance the Tranjo has nicely figured walnut and a nice glossy finish. The only flaws were on the fretboard markers around the inlay where the wood kinda splintered when the holes were drilled for the mother of pearl dots. Appearance Rating 9 Reliability Seems like it should last forever. Good hardware,quality wood. Reliability Rating not rated Customer Service Sam ferris is a really nice guy,with a nice wife that took a lot of time ta answer all my stupid questions about his product without getting angry. Very dense woods. I was upstairs in the bedroom and my wife was downstairs playing the piano at the end of a 27' room opposite from meand you could feel the sound of the piano all the way to the top of the peg head.Pretty darn amazing if you ask me. we are talking at least 40 feet across the rooms up a flight of stairs and in another room. The door to the bedroom was open, but still pretty darn good. Sound Rating 10 Setup The setup was perfect. The banjo was in tune when I unpacked it. The banjo was setup like I asked. Setup Rating 10 Appearance Was made of the exotic woods I asked for. Its a work of art. Appearance Rating 10 Reliability The hardware is heavy duty custom brass with an antiqued finish.Should last forever. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service Doc and his wife are great people. I got a banjo and made a new friend! The neck needed a slight adjustment and Doc talked me through it on the phone. It was done in five minutes. He really builds a quality thought out product, he says its guaranteed for everything for life and i believe it. Customer Service 10 Components The brass hardware is a standout,and it has nice five star tuners with ivoroid buttons. The ironwood hand carved bridge is neat.
