I love the sound of this banjo. Plunkety, plunkety, learning clawhammer on it.

I didn't do anything after i got it but tune it and play it. I did check Deering's website to learn how to check the set up and everything was right up to spec.

Very simplistic, not much to go wrong or get out of kilter. The Zippo of banjos. Not a classic or traditional look but it grows on you. I like it!

I think you could paddle a canoe with this banjo, it's tough. Definately my choice for hard use: picnics, camping, outdoor jams, canoe triips, whatever.

Components are plain jane but should last as long as the expensive, fancy stuff. Nothing on it that I would change.

I got three banjos and this one is played the most. I keep it by the computer so I grab it while waiting for downloads. I stays out where I can grab it anytime. Everybody should have one.
