Plunkety, plunkety, learning clawhammer on it. Sound Rating 8 Setup I didn't do anything after i got it but tune it and play it. I did check Deering's website to learn how to check the set up and everything was right up to spec. Setup Rating 8 Appearance Very simplistic, not much to go wrong or get out of kilter. The Zippo of banjos. Not a classic or traditional look but it grows on you. I like it! Appearance Rating 8 Reliability I think you could paddle a canoe with this banjo, it's tough. Definately my choice for hard use: picnics, camping, outdoor jams, canoe triips, whatever. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service Bought used, haven't dealt with the company. Customer Service not rated Components Components are plain jane but should last as long as the expensive, fancy stuff. Nothing on it that I would change.
