There is brightness in the treble, good strong midrange and excellent depth. Ofcourse with a 6, you can do melody in the bass, and the extra string is resonating, whether or not you are playing it. The bass is G, an octave below the 3rd. string G. Sound Rating 9 Setup Well set up. I put on my own string set. ,10,12 1/2,15, 24, 34, 10. The 2 bass strings are phos. bronze. 12 in. block rim with no tone ring `3in. deep. Maple neck. Setup Rating 9 Appearance Nicely and simply finished as ordered. Especially nice wood binding on the fingerboard with pearl side dots. Appearance Rating 8 Reliability Should be excellent. Well built block rim. 2 way truss rod etc. Reliability Rating 9 Customer Service Excellent dealing directly with David. Very accomodating. Customer Service 9 Components Components are fine.
