Terry...what year and what model Alvarez is that? I've got the same one...but there's no model name or number...no serial number either. I bought it about 10 years ago from an old lady who it belonged to her husband. Man it sure sounds sweet!

Yep, It'a an early to mid 70's Alvarez 1975 wife bought it foe ma as a 1st year wedding anniversary present. I played many a festival and music venue with her for a lot of years.I no longer have her, times got a little tough in the mid 90's and had to sell her to feed the family.
I'm looking to purchase one of these Alvarez Montana 5 Star Banjos, If you know of 1 for sale please let me know

4286 Alvarez Deluxe Montana 5 Star. I finally found one about a year ago and now I have one that replaces the one I sold a long while ago.
This one will never be sold nor will any of my instruments in my collection.
