Yup. I like that look too.Do you find that the goat heads are thinner and thus a bit more treble?

Gordy: These hides are a nice medium-thin. I order them tha way. I prever them to be not too thin. The tone is very well balanced and throaty.

I also reeeeely like the appearance of mottled goat hide. Have been thinking about putting one on my Reiter Ab scale, but just thinking of the process makes my toes curl.

I am selling pre-mounted hide heads. These are prepared on on genuine Bart Reiter hardware. All you have to do is install much like a regular mylar head. Cost is $46.00 shipped. Let me know if you are interested in one.
