This is a fine detail on the pip but Dan Knowles cut the fret and set the pip at the same action height. This is a nice nut material and what may not show up clearly is the detailed cuts that shaped the top. Dan does beautiful work right down to the smallest detail.

It is really cool how DAN KNOWLES set the 5th string pip exactly even with a shortened 5th fret. Details like that are why his necks have the BEST INTONATION of any I've ever played.
