This is a mono home recording I made with a CAD large diaphragm condenser mic in my living room a couple years ago. The mic has switchable pick up patterns, I had the mic set to a figure eight pattern with one loop pointing up to my vocal and one loop pointing down for the banjo.

This "little ditty" is a cool tune in an F tuning (fCFCD). I learned it from the playing of Doc Watson and his father-in-law Gaither Carlton. It's easy to get into this tuning from double C, just drop the two G strings down to F.
