Bands = I like them all, especially the ones who forge ahead into new realms in order to broaden their own horizon and reach new fans.
Musicians = I like to listen to all of them, but my favorites are the ones I can learn from.

Here's an old fiddle tune off of the Picking Around the Cookstove album on the Rounder label. This was a fun album for everyone involved. Rounder had a portable studio set up in Dick Staber's barn where his wife Renny made pottery. We moved all of her pottery and the kiln out of the way then sectioned a room off with a bunch of quilts strung on a rope from one side to the other.

This is a tune I composed about 20 years ago. I did this on a 4-track Yamaha cassette recorder/player and dubbed the other instruments. A little rough, but I wanted to record so I wouldn't forget it.
