When I first started getting into the bluegrass sounds I wrote this song on guitar about a solo roadtrip I took from Peoria, IL to Atlanta, GA in one fun filled day, with a little detour through Mt. Olive, IL to visit the grave of an old union organizer name Mary Harris Jones aka Mother Jones. I didn't think it was appropriate to call it bluegrass so I called it fauxgrass. Copyright 2006.

This is my version of Old Home Place as it existed in December of 2009. I don't think my picking style is traditional or accurate but it's my approximation of what I hear. I'm pickin' it by ear. Recorded live in my living room. I've only been playing for a year, I know it's riddled with mistakes. Thanks for listening.
