This version is based on Adam Hurt's signature version. He gets so much more music out of the tune than I can at this point. Played on my Bay State Model 318. (BTW I asked Adam if it was OK for me to post this tune modeled after his version, and he graciously agreed.) Soon maybe I can post an improved version.

Narmour & Smith tune based on an arrangement by Evie Ladin of the Stairwell Sisters. I was fortunate to interview her for the July 2008 BNL. Tab for this tune accompanied the article. Played on 1890s Bay State Model 300 A-scale.

I've been obsessed with this tune since hearing Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer play it with Marcy on the banjo cello. Pete Sutherland has a couple of fine fiddle versions too. Double-C tuning on Bay State 318.

This tune came to me shortly after Dan Knowles did some neck work on my 1890's Bay State 318. There are obvious echoes of Clinch Mtn. Backstep and Pretty Little Dog. G modal. Edited to remove silent space at end of the tune.

A pair of jigs from a Louisville contra dance in August 2009. A poor, lengthy (8:30) recording, but it helped me realize how I slid off the beat on Kesh Jig, so I have been able to tighten up my playing and hit the beat consistently.

I really enjoy playing waltzes on the banjo. The tempo is friendly and there's time to listen and enjoy while you play. This is played on my 1890's Bay State banjo.
