The amazing scenary of the Sydney area would have been a constant reminder to Europeans in First Fleet times that they were in a foreign country - but soon a generation of settlers' children would have appeared who knew nothing else and had their own sense of connection with the landscape. To the Eora people, this would have been proof that these people were hear to stay.
