My father was one of several children all of whom except for him had full names. Names like Marie , Kathleen and Louis. ... For some reason His Parents gave him the name of R D (just the initials) As a young child my father couldn't correctly pronounce his name . The closest he could get when he tried to say R D was was "Arlie".
One day he decided to cook a chicken for his mom. At the time he was about 4 years old. He just put the whole live chicken in the oven. When his momma found it and asked "Who put this chicken in the oven?/ He replied.... "Little Arlie did it"
