I had the good fortune to hook up with Ray Dahlin in Branford, CT who was looking for a buyer for his late father's Alvarez Silver Belle. After a couple of years of pickin' on my first "starter" banjo (it was a Fender), I felt I had earned a better banjo. I never realized how much better my playing is on a quality banjo. Thanks, Ray, for your patience while I evaluated the instrument. I will take great care of it.
I just received an Lakota banjo strap that arrived today which makes this heavy banjo much more comfortable to carry. The next step is to get a new head installed.
